Year 2 OLD
This Module consists of one part of the law of obligations, the other part being law of contracts. It illustrates the principles and general concepts of Tort Law, essential requirements for a person to be held civilly liable due to the person’s fault (fault-based liability), negligence (tort of negligence) and liability for damages caused by people or things under the person’s control. Students are exposed to both common law and civil law system’s understanding of the subject and how they differ. It also demonstrates the differences between tort law and other types of liabilities.
