Trimester 3

This module intends to introduce students to the concept of good governance and to help them understand its nature in a legal discourse. This is what this module is all about. Our journey in this module will consist of going back to historical background of good governance in order to find the most acceptable definition that will help us grasp its legal nature. The discussion will take us through good governance as captured by EAC Treaty and case-law before analysing in details how good governance is manifested in different principles such as the principles of properness, accountability, transparency, participation and human rights.
