At the end of this course, a learner will be able to know:

What is Gender-based violence? Four types of violence.

   The circle of violence.

Causes of GBV and positive masculinity.

  The Rwandan law on GBV.

   Help for victims.

  Campaigns, community work.

Your role as a local leader

In this module we will introduce to you three tools.

  • Activities and responsibilities per gender.
  • Access to and control over resources per gender.
  • Formulation of gender-based constraints.

The first two tools are for use with farmers and other actors in the value chain. The last tool is more analytical and is for use with project staff and experts.
