Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, You should be able to;

  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of major principles of drainage especially surface drainage, estimate drainage coefficient and flow rate of excess water from the farm land.
  2. Use the skills, techniques, practices and/or materials for runoff and excess water on farm land to design appropriate structures to divert the excess water from the field.
  3. Analyze, evaluate and synthesize issues, which are at the forefront of knowledge about the design, construction and management of drainage ditches.
  4. Demonstrate skills of life-long learning in the estimation of surface drainage and apply same on the field.
