Biomedical Engineering

This module aims to provide students with an overview of human anatomy and physiology such that they can intelligently develop biomedical engineering solutions and understand clinical applications.

The module will give students familiarity with anatomical and physiological terms and understanding their meaning. Students should gain an understanding of the gross anatomy of the major systems in the human body and their importance in the design of biomedical devices. Students should gain an understanding of the major physiological principles which govern the functioning of the human body.
