Welcome to this course
Welcome to this course of Oscillations and Waves . The module has 10 credit course and it will comprise both face to face session and online activities. It will be assessed in 3 stages: a group assignment out of 20 marks, an individual continuous assessment test of 20 marks, practical work out of 10 marks and a final exam of 50 marks. The first part of this module relate to the Oscillations which introducing students to the understanding of Periodic motion, Simple harmonic oscillations, superposition of simple harmonic oscillations damped, forced, and coupled oscillations . The second part reflects the Mechanical waves: Longitudinal and transverse waves, phase velocity, group velocity, and Doppler effect.
