Dear students, Welcome to this module entitled: "English Language Structure and Analysis"
This module aims at enabling you to effectively and efficiently teach English as a language at both O-level and A-level. This aim in the domain of “Language Structure and Analysis” is premised on the conviction that being able to teach a language requires a solid knowledge of that language and thus, it represents an attempt to contribute to building/strengthening students’ knowledge of English by notably showing them how words are put together both syntagmatically and paradigmatically to form phrases; how phrases are combined as sentence elements to form simple clauses/(kernel) sentences; and how simple (kernel) sentences are in turn transformed through various processes such as coordination and subordination, etc.
