The module aims to provide the basics of Solid and Structural Mechanics as applied to Engineering practice.

Shear stress in beams, deflection of beams, stress in curved beams, Unsymmetrical bending of beams, Determination of beam displacement by Energy methods, Thick and Compound Cylinders. Stresses in Rotating discs and Cylinders.
