BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIMS AND CONTENT
This provides a more broad foundation to the students bringing a deeper understanding of the topics covered in introduction to Free Hand drawing. It therefore explores a comprehensive range of drawing methods and topics such as morphological analysis, still life, life drawing, colour application, light and shade principle and line and colour perspective that serves as a guiding principle for the whole development of design media.
This introductory module shall expose students to the basic skills of photography. students are also exposed to the history and evolution of photography.
Module delivery
This is a studio-based module and students will explore different types of photography. This will be enhanced by theories behind the concepts together with tutorials.
Objective of the module
At the end of the course students will be able to understand the impact of photography in a social and aesthetic context. Students will also be able to produce high quality photographs to a professional standard.

Hello students, welcome to fiber and fabrics. The course is aimed to create a learning culture that enables you to be exposed to types of fibers, sources of fibers, techniques of fabrics production and application. It will also provide relevant technical language, knowledge and skills for fiber choice and uses based on properties of various textile types.
The course introduces students to the world of design. Students learn history of art and design in respect to language, culture and critical Theories of design. It explores the relationships between design and other disciplines such as art, crafts, architecture, fashion and media, design and different contexts like nature, economy and industry.
Brief description of aims and content Integration and use of different materials in Design informed by the assessment of durability, resource conservation, environmental impact, cultural appropriateness, basic functionality, and positive impact on the way in which solutions are realised. This course will provide an introduction to various materials that can be used in product, fashion and interior design including discussion of fundamental principles of the structural, physical and long-term characteristics of each material and how these attributes play into determining of appropriate use of each.
