This module builds on the principles of economics concepts taught in first year. The economic models of the behaviour of consumers and firms and the interaction between the two are extended using more rigorous approach. The students are also introduced to models of market imperfections.

Trimester 3

The module focuses on the theories and applications of quantitative within an economic context and policies making. The main aim of the module is to:

  1. Enable students to learn how to use mathematics analysis in solving economic problems
  2. Build students' grasp of certain mathematical techniques common in Economics and understand when it is appropriate to apply them.
  3. Deepen student understanding of the most important mathematics used in economic analysis through the use of applications, and to enable students to use these skills confidently and independently.
  4. To apply the mathematical theory to analysis of the real world.

Trimester 3

This Module introduces to the students the Accounting techniques, skills and other practical knowledge which are useful to come across in different types of business entities and organizations'. Accounting Practices such as ; Control Accounts, Solving issues of incomplete records, Accounting for Manufacturing Industries,  Accounting for Partnerships, Accounting for Limited Companies.
