IT Essentials is a hands - on  career  - oriented course with an
emphasis on practical experience to help students develop
fundamental computer and mobile devices skills, along with
essential career skills.
The IT Essentials curriculum helps students prepare for entry level IT career opportunities and the
CompTIA A+ certification, which helps students differentiate themselves in the marketplace and advance their careers. In
addition, the course provides a learning pathway to the Cisco, Introduction to Internet of Everything or NDG Linux

This  course  aims  to  develop  an understanding  of  the  components  of  Computer  Based  Information  Systems ,  their functions  and  types  of  systems  used  in  organizations.  It also  aims  to  provide  a general  understanding  of  the  Information  Systems   development  process  as  well  as how the business is done using the internet as an online system,  ethical and security issues associated with the use of information systems will be learned.
