Dear participants, Welcome to the research methods module. The course will introduce to you the generalities on Research Methodology, Reviewing the Literature, Designing Techniques of data Collection, Data Analysis using statistical software and Reporting of the Findings. The application and presentation of the statistical procedures that are commonly encountered in the fields of Agriculture will be studied.
Theories learnt in classrooms are not enough to produce knowledgeable and competent graduates and can no longer substitute for practical experience that are much sought after by employers. In order to ensure high quality, University of Rwanda students are therefore required to undergo a compulsory period of industrial attachment, as part of their degree course, for acquisition of practical skills and abilities in a work environment.
At the end of the module, students would possess in depth knowledge of hands-on –experience on utilization of farm machinery/ fabrication of agricultural equipments/ processing machineries/repair & maintenance of machinery/ renewable energy sources etc.
