Trimester 2

The present module focuses on sign language skills development for educators, with particular attention on the Rwandan Deaf cultural contexts. It is a practical module, and at the completion of the module, students should be equipped with knowledge, skills and attitudes related to Rwandan Sign Language structures and functions; Deaf culture, Deaf identity and Deaf communities in Rwanda and elsewhere; teaching deaf learners, communication and inclusion of the Deaf in Rwandan schools.

 

 

Course image SNE3141: Provision and Adaptation of the environment for SNE
Trimester 2

This module aims at equipping students/trainees with knowledge about the theory and practice, challenges, opportunities, accessibilities, and assistive resources related to inclusive education. The module emphasizes on the adaptation of the community to learners with SENs. It also highlights the adaptation of the education policy and curriculum for the provision of learners with SENs and creates a friendly teaching and learning environment for them with respect to the local, regional, and international contexts and standards.
