This module aims to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes required to critically engage with current trends in STEM education, contribute to curriculum development, and apply research insights to enhance educational practices in the STEM field in higher education. With reference to competence-based education (CBE), various themes including storyboard development, lecturing methods, classroom management, developing learner-centered methods, developing scientific reasoning and problem solving, contemporary issues in STEM, interdependence of STEM subjects and society, principles of science teaching and learning will be discussed.
