The module deals with supervision of academic research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It will deal with processes of supervision, the constitution of a productive research environment, approaches to supervision, ethical roles and responsibilities of the supervisor and the expectations in terms of research supervision (relationship) and management of conflict in research process.

With reference to competence based education, the module explores various active teaching and learning methods / techniques in humanities and social science subjects in higher education.

This module aims to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes required to critically engage with current trends in STEM education, contribute to curriculum development, and apply research insights to enhance educational practices in the STEM field in higher education. With reference to competence-based education (CBE), various themes including storyboard development, lecturing methods, classroom management, developing learner-centered methods, developing scientific reasoning and problem solving, contemporary issues in STEM, interdependence of STEM subjects and society, principles of science teaching and learning will be discussed.

covered include higher education context and graduate profile, theories of
learning, concepts, principles, and techniques of competence-based teaching, learning, and assessment.
