Members of the Oral Biology I unit welcome you to attend this basic science professional module that introduces a student to an understanding of head and neck anatomy, dental morphology, histology of oral, head tissues, and development of oral tissues. Furthermore, the student will be able to understand the physiology and biochemistry of oral tissues.  This unit makes the foundation for understanding other oral health professional modules in the future. In this aspect, the student is supposed to master oral biology I in order to build a good foundation of understanding other courses that will follow.

Trimester 3

This module is aiming at providing the students with an insight into manifestations of human diseases and treatment relevant to dental care. It will cover the fundamental knowledge of medicine and surgery that is relevant in the practice of dentistry, hence enabling the student to be competent in assessing medical and surgical conditions in order to offer appropriate dental care.
