Course image INTAKE 5: MODULE 1 INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Semester 1
This blended learning module is constructed around Face-to-Face sessions and a series of online activities, combined with practical exercises that will allow you to increase your knowledge as well as to practice some of the “theoretical” learning, taking place during the readings. The online sessions have been developed in the “Slide-Doc” presentation format (a version of power-point), and each one guides you through the learning activities for each session. The presentations include the specific information that you will be studying, and provide links to online resources for you to use. The slide presentations are also supplemented by worksheets to use for the practical exercises. The sessions are designed so that you can work through them at your own pace, although the overall timeline for the course must be respected. We understand that students in this course likely have full-time “day jobs” and that your studying may take place during short periods during the workday, in the evening after the workday, or on weekends. The learning sessions and activities are specifically designed so that you can complete a session in a few hours or less, although some sessions, such as the practical activities, may require more time, both for preparation and for doing the actual assignment.
