SEMESTER 2
- In this module you will classify medically important parasites according to their location in the body and/or their visual similarities. You will also need to understand and describe their interactions with the human body and how to diagnose them for safe management of the patient and prevent diseases in the hospital and community settings.
- In this module you will particularly describe the medically important helminth parasites under the following principal and basic concepts: epidemiology, morphology, mechanisms of spreading, transmission, life cycle, host-parasite interactions and immune responses, symptomatology, clinical samples collected, laboratory diagnosis, treatment and prevention and control measures.
