TRIMESTER 2

The module intended to introduce phlebotomy, professional behaviors including code of conduct, laboratory safety practices, waste handling and disposal.  Phlebotomy is the process of collecting blood specimens. This unit also provides an orientation to different types of blood specimens that may be requested for specific laboratory services and effective communications with patients and clinicians.

TRIMESTER 2

.The module aims to enable the students to understand the physiological effects of biochemical reactions of the human body. 

The module provides the detailed description of structure and functions of biomolecules including proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, hormones, vitamins and their derivates. 

The module will also enable the students to discuss the metabolic disorders related to the metabolic pathways.
