The curriculum is designed to equip you with essential knowledge of basic immunology, particularly focusing on the types of immunity as well as its components and their interactions to generate an immune response. It also introduces you to fundamentals of viral infections, their epidemiology, pathogenesis, different laboratory techniques used in their diagnosis, control and prevention methods used to protect the population. The teaching and learning of this module adapts to ever changing innovations in immunology and virology, triggering lifelong learning skills.
