Internal Medicine is one of the main specialties that introduce students to other specialties like Pediatrics, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics done in different years of study. The term internal medicine describes a combination of investigative science approach and patients’ care. It’s a science that deals with health disorders and their management. It involves application of scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to diagnose, treat, and provide  compassionate care to adults across the spectrum from a healthy to complex illness.

This course builds on the general concepts of anatomy and physiology, Pharmacology and CIDM (Biomedical laboratories and Imaging) services to have students exposed and show the ability to identify the right diseases for management. The skills learned from this course shall be applied in all other medical disciplines where drugs and medicines are applicable in the management of patients.
