You are welcome to the module Fundamentals of Physiotherapy Practice. As the name implies, this module provides you with required knowledge, skills and understanding on Physiotherapy Practice. In this module learners will cover contents pertaining to the historical development the physiotherapy profession as well as laws, regulations, standards and ethical principles governing the practice of physiotherapy. Learners will gain abilities to perform basic physiotherapy assessment using various techniques.
Aim
The aim of the module is to equip learners with the knowledge of the historical perspectives, philosophy and scope of the physiotherapy profession. The module will also equip the learner with fundamental skills of physiotherapy assessment.
The aim of Applied Anatomy and Physiology II module is to enable the students to have an advanced understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous, cardio-pulmonary and urinary systems of the human body, and an understanding of how this knowledge can be applied to diagnosis and treatment of various conditions relevant to physiotherapy.

This module is called Physiotherapy Assessment skills it is facilitated in Year One trimester Three. The facilitating team is led by Emmy BUCYANA. This module will provide knowledge to the learner that enables them to independently assess Patients with conditions and illnesses that is managed within the Physiotherapy scope of practice.
