This module aims at developing in learners the competences in educational leadership and management. It presents key themes in educational management, leadership, planning and economics of education.Â
The module introduces students to key concepts, practices and contexts related to Special Needs Education, Inclusive Education and Learner-Friendly Education. It focuses on educational practices that make school community an effective learning environment for all categories of learners, especially those who are disadvantaged in mainstream education. It enhances learners’ social and physical development as well as emotional wellbeing and gender sensitiveness.
This course exposes students to the nature and history of science, the philosophical foundations of science teaching, the main futures of competence based curriculum and its implementation, methods and 5Es instructional model, resources for science teaching and learning, assessment for science teaching and learning, and lesson planning and try out.
This module aims at equipping the student with the content related to education including History of Education, Sociology of Education, Philosophy of Education and Comparative Education. At the completion of this module, the student will be able to explain clearly the foundations of education in the above mentioned areas or domains of education.
The module aims at providing prospective teachers with basis on which to examine the various theories of educational psychology and their implications for teaching and learning. It encompasses main theories of learning, sensation and perception, memory, motivation, emotion, personality, attitude change and classroom management.

The purpose of this module is to enable students to conceptualize and conduct an in-depth analysis and review of policies, practice, and research findings regarding ICT integration in teaching and learning in their own country and internationally. In other words, this module will enable students to facilitate the process of change in planning, implementing and evaluating ICT enhanced learning and teaching practices not only as teachers, but also as school managers, and/or as researchers.
This module contains the following units: Concepts and approaches of
conventional pedagogy and learner-centered pedagogy, teaching-learning
principles, teaching-learning methods, criteria for selecting
teaching-learning methods, levels of teaching processes, categories of
educational taxonomies, general, specific and operational objectives in
the teaching-learning process, scheme of work and lesson plan.
