Greetings Dear Students,

This is to welcome you again to this important and exciting Economics module that will equip you with the wide range of Economics concepts

Brief description of aims 

This module is aimed at strengthening students’ knowledge of applied microeconomics and macroeconomics to solve society problems.

 The main objectives of the training are to:

1. Provide foundational knowledge in the branches of Micro economics and Macroeconomics

2.  Apply their knowledge to describe (model) and analyze economic problems (production distribution, consumption, exchange).

3. Analyse complex situations and to make judgments that relates to Economics

4. Collaborate with colleagues on  new trends and innovative methods in Economics and Social Studies in general.

Activities

This module will be an interactive one that will involve forum discussions,  e-tivities, feedback forums, online quizzes, and turnitin assignment, all intended for learning.

Course image REAL ANALYSIS
Trimester 3

The module introduces students to real numbers, Cartesian plane, and functions and their representations; it also introduces them to principles of problem solving referring to George Polya .

Students will be encouraged to discuss in small groups before attending face to face session with the lecturer.

Assignments and home works will help students to develop their autonomy in learning mathematics. Formative and Summative Assessments will be used.  Summative assessment will necessarily be a written exam.

Course image ISE1343: Biodiversity and Ecology
Trimester 3

This  module aims to introduce the students to plant and animal taxonomy and to the characteristics of the major animal and plant phyla with microorganisms and the understanding of ecology. The content includes animal and plant taxonomy and the anatomical, physiological behavioral and ecological characteristics of major phyla from Protozoa to chordate; non flowering and flowering plants.

Course image FED1343 : Historical and Contemporary Themes in Education
Trimester 3

This module aims at orienting learners with historical and contemporary developments in education. The learners will be able to trace the evolution of educational thought and practices since ancient times and relate them to contemporary educational and general development efforts in Rwanda and the rest of the world. The module further compares world educational systems and examines current and emerging national and international interventions that impact on educational systems in the world today.
