This module explores functions of nervous and hormonal systems, their significance in human daily life, their anatomy and physiological processes in the human body, and how they affect human behaviour. The content covers anatomy and physiology of peripheral and central nervous systems, sense organs and their role in controlling human body, anatomy and physiology of endocrine system, and the disorders that are linked to the disruption of the nervous and hormonal systems.
The module aims at providing prospective teachers with basis on which to examine the various theories of educational psychology and human development and their implications for teaching and learning. It encompasses human development, sensation and perception, learning, memory, motivation, emotion, personality, attitude change and classroom management.
