Course image PHA2252: Advanced Chemistry and Spectroscopy
Trimester III

This is a 20 credit module with three components which are Advanced Organic and Heterocyclic Chemistry (10 credits), Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry (5 credits) and Spectroscopy and Instrumental Methods (5 credits). The first component deals with advanced concepts of organic synthesis, the second one treats primarily the analysis inorganic compounds in aqueous solutions whereas the last one focuses on different spectroscopic methods as well as instruments used in the analysis of compounds of various origins including organic and inorganic compounds.

Trimester III

This module aims to equip the students with knowledge on concepts of bacteriology and virology leading to the understanding of the genesis of infectious diseases, their diagnosis, their prevention, and treatment. Furthermore, students will acquire and develop knowledge about pathological immunology and diseases related to immunity as well as immunodeficiency.
