LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course, a student should have understood rules governing persons exercising a legal profession. He or she should be able to realise the scope of ethical rules of the Rwandan judicial system.
Content:

- Study of ethical rules of the judicial personnel (judges, public prosecutors and other judicial staff);
- Code of judicial ethics;
- Study of rights and obligations of lawyers and judicial representatives;
study of the problem of professional secrecy in legal profession.
The module of securities and insurance law aims at explaining and understanding the concepts of securities: personal securities (suretyship and independent guarantee and real securities: pledge and mortgage. It furthermore helps to critically analyze Rwandan legal framework in relation with those types of securities. It offers to learners skills for legal analysis and critical thinking and analysis of laws and case-laws relating to securities. The module also offers general principles applicable to property insurance, civil liability insurance, life insurance, accident insurance ad sickness insurance. It brings learners to critically analyze of insurance related laws and regulations and case-laws in order to link learners to the job market.
