Course image Introduction to Social Sciences
Trimester 1

The term "social sciences" has been used to describe the systematic study of human interaction, which encompasses many disciplines such as anthropology, politics, psychology, and sociology. In this introductory module, we provide students an overview of the historical origins and development of each discipline. Additionally, we examine the scientific slant in the study of the social world and discuss the various methods of social science inquiry. Finally, we look at the overlapping areas in the various disciplines, study how each discipline would approach the study of a particular social issue, and offer insight into an integrated approach to studying and researching issues of interest to social scientists. Welcome.
