This module intends to expose trainees to the content related to pedagogy for effective teaching and learning of Mathematics and Science. The content includes concepts of the competence-based curriculum (CBC), key concepts in mathematics and science education, aspects for mathematics and science instruction to implement a 5Es instructional model, online teaching and learning mathematics and science, gender and inclusiveness in mathematics and science, and assessment. The selection of the aforementioned was to equip teachers with knowledge and skills for effective implementation of the CBC to improve learners' learning outcomes.
This module on E-Learning and ICT Integration in Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science aims at enabling you to explore a variety of available e-resources for your self-professional development to better support learners in achieving subject learning outcomes. For each aspect, we briefly introduce you to key concepts through engagement with a suggested activity followed by brief explanation. It is expected that you will apply acquired skills across the whole programme as well as in your daily teaching practices.
