SEMESTER II

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Mentorship and Entrepreneurship in Health Module.

This course deals with mentorship in clinical settings as well as entrepreneurship. The first aim of this course is to prepare midwives to support clinical learning environment through mentoring for better career development of and competent and creative midwives for new venture. It will enable student to become a credible, effective, valued supporter of learning and an assessor of achievement in practice. This course will introduce many aspects required to create a successful new venture. The course also examines creativity in start-ups and creative gap analysis. In addition, the aim of introducing Entrepreneurship unit is to help develop and enhance such qualities as creativity, inventiveness and independent problem-solving skills, so as to strike a balance between theory and practical skills (e.g. how to prepare business plans and accounts) in midwifery education. Apart from offering professional qualifications, the curricula must strengthen the individualĀ“s competences, motivation and drive, with the aim of producing graduates who are both employable and able to create self-employment and thus able to address societal needs. This shift in thinking of the relevance of the UR curricula will contribute to producing graduates with developed business sense in their relevant disciplines who are independent, innovative, critical thinkers, and are also competent and competitive at national, regional and international levels.

welcome to Women's Health module.This course will enable you to increase the understanding of the determinants of Women's Health throughout the stages of their lives both as individuals and party of the community.

We expect that at the end of this course you will have the following competencies:

1. Establish and maintain productive relationships and effective communicatio with clients, families and interdisciplinary teams.

2.Adhere to infection prevention and control standards

3. Administer relevant pharmacological substances

4.Develop a community health intervention plan

5. Promote family health through basic primary care and women's health /reproductive services.

1.Describe the ocmponents of Reproductive and Women's Health

2. Describe the counseling process and cases/situation that require counseling

3. Identify cases/Situation that requires Counseling

4. Educate the community on Reproductive and Sexual Health and prvention of gender-based violence

5.Provide Reproductive Health services
