It emphasizes on effective utilization of nursing process to provide holistic assessment and care to the clients and facilitate them in restoration of optimum health.
It deals with specific nursing skills or procedures necessary to care for ill patients and overview of anesthesia and resuscitation will be covered.
It will also equip students with knowledge on different drugs to treat those pathological conditions.
This module provides the student with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to care for children from birth through adolescence. It examines the process of child development and the concepts of health promotion and disease prevention. The module explores the current issues and trends impacting the health of children. Content includes the management of acute/chronic illnesses and mental health disorders encountered in children and adolescents. Psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of the child are explored with a focus on the relevance of these issues to nursing. Current nursing and related research findings associated with the concepts being studied are considered.
