This module is designed for students in the Department of Applied Statistics. It will provide participants with the concepts of probability and the application of probability to random phenomena.
The aim of the module is to introduce students to multivariable calculus and application of matrix algebra; to provide an essential, simple and useable body of computer programming with mathematical and statistical languages/ packages
- To apply the mathematical theory to the analysis of the real-world situations/problems
The aim of the module is to show how national accounts can be used as an instrument to relate economic theory and analysis in general with statistical development. In this regard, the module will (a) alternate between and thus integrate elements of SNA analysis, compilation and economic theory, Use Rwanda data, when presenting the basics of the SNA framework, classifications, concepts and compilation.
