Trimester 1

Welcome dear students!

This is the module of English for General Purposes (GNE 1111), the content of Trimester 1. It is intended to all year/level one students. To begin, you will be required to tour around the course and familiarize with the technology and content of the course, the structure and the layout of the available practical learning activities. When you visit the course, your facilitator will notice your presence in the course.

During this trimester, you will be expected to work on different activities within ten weeks. You are therefore requested to complete all those activities within due time. All the course content is found on UR E-learning platform.

Each individual student should manage their own time each week. You should also know when activities are due, without forgetting any other weekly course obligations. Therefore, to succeed in doing this, logging in to the UR E-learning platform on a daily basis will be a requirement. This regularly logging in to the platform will enable you to be informed of the posted forums, chats and any other additional activities aiming at boosting your understanding of the module.

We are ready to answer any questions related to the course content and will provide technological support where necessary.

We look forward to working with you as smoothly as possible all along the trimester.

Regards,
